1. If the top of you cake is browning too quickly, place a pan of warm ater on the rack above the cake while it is baking in the oven.
2. Club soda makes a great and cheap spot cleaner for carpet.
3. Use small marshmallows as candleholders for a birthday
cake. They prevent the wax drippings from running into the frosting.

1. Cook chicken and turkey with the skin on to
keep it moister and more flavorful. Remove the
skin after cooking.
2. When a recipe tells you to saute' meat in butter or oil, use wine instead. Or, cook the meat in broth or tomato
juice.
3. When broiling, roasting or baking meat,use a rack to catch the fat drainage.
4. Use low-fat 1 or 2% milk when a recipe calls for milk.
5. Use yogurt cheese in recipes calling for cream cheese.
6. If possible, cook stews and soups in advance then
refrigerate and skim the fat off the top before reheating.
