Pine Burr Garden Club is a member of The Garden Clubs of Mississippi and The National Council of Garden Clubs. The objectives of the garden clubs shall be "the advancement of gardening, county beautification, and cooperation with educational agencies furthering the interest of horticulture and conservation." The annual Flower Show is one way to do this. "Historic Trees" is the theme of the 2001 Flower Show on April 6, 2001 held at the Franklin County Museum.
