Photos and Information by Mr. & Mrs. Russell Benoy, McCall Creek, MS. White Oak measures 22 feet around and 4 feet above ground. Older neighbors say this tree was this size even when they were kids.

This is the Old Bryant McGehee place. Information by Ann and Bob McFadden. The construction of this home was a dog trot made of solid heart pine (at 3.00 per thousand) at this time. Large trees are shown in photo. Later photos of some trees were made. These are in the McFaddens front yard. The Red Oak (last photo) is 15'6" around. The white oaks are 13'7" & 13'8" around. Near the house is a Red Oak that measures 11'2" around. |

This Live Oak is located on the Chuck Prichard Place, it measures 22 feet around. Mr. Prichard remembers that the tree was a large tree when he was a boy. Probably planted around 1910. The tree is in the pasture, right behind the house, where he grew up. He remembers the mules grazed there. |
